My darling, loving mum,
I miss you.
I love you.
I love you with all of my body, with all of my soul and with all of my heart. My words can not tell you what you mean to me.
All that is good in me is you, mum.
All of it.
You have shown me what compassion is. I will try harder.
You have shown me what forgiveness is. I will forgive more.
You have shown me what sacrifice is. I will sacrifice more.
And you have shown me just how important all of these are through all of these wonderful friends who have gathered today to be with you on your final journey, who have all helped me throughout this sad time.
I am so blessed you lived with me, mum.
You cared for me so lovingly just as though I was still your baby girl. You cooked the most beautiful food, you made the best lunches for me, you did all the washing, you fed all the cats and the dogs.
You cared for me when I was sick and you cared for me when I was not. Your love for me shone each day in all you did for me.
I will miss the warmth of our home, I will miss the lights inside and at the porch, I will miss the noise coming from inside when I arrive home.
But mum please do not worry for me. I will be OK, I will.
This is your most important journey and I know the Angels are helping you now to reach your final resting place. I know you have no pain any more and I know we will be together again, mum.
I love you mum.
Your daughter Svetlana.

The Herald Sun newspaper (Satruday 26th June 2010) had an insert; Pedigree Special Feature - the test.
Clearly nothing more then a 'different' approach to advertising by Uncle Bens, makers of Pedigree dog food.
It is very well done in that any new dog owner would be unequivocally convinced commercially processed dog food is the best way to feed . . . NOT true of course!
The front cover of the insert asks a question:
What is the No.1 ingredient in PEDIGREE?
a) Meat. b) Meat. c) More meat.
Seems Uncle Bens acknowledges that dogs ARE carivoures and by that acknowledgement alone, Uncle Bens tells us meat is best however NOT processed meat as Uncle Bens would have you believe.
Think about it for a minute or two.
There are no ovens, stoves, BBQs, microwaves or any other cooking equipment in the wild; just freshly killed prey eaten as its caught by the dog so why would anyone, with this knowledge, feed their beloved dog commercially processed dog food?
The manufacture of this type of food takes all the best out of the meat Uncle Bens use which Uncle Bens then puts back in plus some colour and flavour for good measure!
Ever think about the health issues facing your dog?
Ever think that is could be all that processed dog food filled with colour and flavour that is not quite natural?
Ever think about the dreadful state of your dogs teeth and the bad breath?
Ever think that all that artificial stuff added to dog food maybe the cause?
I sure have and I stopped slowly killing my Weimaraners.
Zeta is my very first prey fed Werimaraners. Raised on this type of diet since she was 7 weeks young and she will be 5 years young this coming November. She has the most gorgeous pearl white teeth and NO smelly breath. She has only ever had one bath in her entire life; the one her mother Ally gave her when she was born AND she has no 'woofy' odour. Sure she is a bit dusty because she likes to landscape the back garden but she is not smelly.
Further to Zeta, 2 years ago I raised my first litter (of 11 puppies) totally on prey feeding. You can see them on YouTube
Please do not be taken in by the dog food manufacturing companies; feed your dog what nature intended; raw!
The upside is so high you will be amazed

I am an avid Dr Phil fan and watch him everyday. A few days ago I watched with even more interest as Dr Phil talked with parents who constantly fight in the ear shot and birds eye view of their children. It really is not rocket science to work out what that environment will reap; we are all a product of our environment.
Dr Phil mentioned a poem; Children Live What They Learn by Dorothy Law Nolte (1924 - 2005)
What are your children learning?

You all remember a short while ago I added Hank to YouTube and to the Vic/Tas Rescue Page on my web site. He had lots of vistorswho wanted to love and cre for him.
Many thatnks to everyone.
Hank, now Gandalf, lives in Queensland with the Munro's and from all accounts is very happy as they are with him.
Posted on: 2010-05-20
Hank needs a caring and loving new home.
He is a gentle 14 month young male who is dexed and was about to be surrended to the RSPCA because one partner in a relationship did not love dogs.
He has been with me now for a week and is so sweet. He gets on well with my two girls, Zeta and Swanky. He also gets on with male dogs . . . all he wants is to play and be loved.
Please contact me if you would like to arrange a visit to meet Hank.

Mid last year a wonderful lady got in touch with me from South Australia. She had been researching vaccine reactions in dogs and came aross my web site along the way. Her name is Elizabeth Hart and she lost her dog to an adverse reaction to vaccination.
Elizabeth became passionate and committed to do something to make a change to the crazy vaccine protocols we have in Austrlia.
She wrote a number of articles and a submissionn paper in an effort to get this change into 1st gear.
I am fortunate indeed and honoured beyond words to have Elizabeth's permission to include on my web site.
The new pages can be found here:
Thanks Elizabeth for allowing your work to be reproduced on my web site.
Cheers

Richard Hayden of Fairbanks Alaska but seeking dogs throughout the US, most recently in California and Florida
Phone number: 907-378-2807
Email: flyingrichard@hotmail.com
Richard Hayden is currently seeking dogs throughout the US, from rescue groups, shelters, and from private individuals via sites like Craigslist. Rescues and shelters are often impressed that he is willing to adopt at such a long distance and assume that someone willing to spend so much money to get a dog must be a good home. According to some of his information he lives in an RV with three German Shepherds. In other applications he states he lives in a house with a yard. Sometimes he says he has one dog, in other cases no dogs. He is an experienced con man and knows what to say and how to work the system. He has groups of devoted followers on Internet forums who think they know him and believe that he’s a good home.
The truth is very different.
He has adopted countless dogs that have since disappeared. At least 3 dogs from rescues have died within weeks of arrival in Alaska. He told the rescues that two of them died of cancer (after being in perfect health and vet checked prior to sending) but he has been unwilling to produce any veterinary references to support his claims. The third dog supposedly drowned. He has adopted several other dogs from Anchorage and Fairbanks animal control that have since disappeared. He has potentially gotten many other dogs from Craigslist and similar sites.
He usually has multiple ads in different cities running. He will typically back off when rescues and shelters request a home visit or reference checks but is savvy to adoption screening systems and is good at manipulating well-meaning people to pull dogs for him. He flies a small plane and sometimes comes for dogs himself, in other cases he has them shipped to Alaska.
He prefers German Shepherds but is known to have taken Labs, Pit Bulls, and a Malamute mix. The dogs he gets are always large breed spayed females. He prefers dogs that are overweight with passive, docile temperaments.
Please crosspost widely! It is especially important to warn shelters who may not typically receive these alerts or be as likely to do the home visits and veterinary reference checks that would immediately expose this person.

Britfeld Artica a.k.a. Tinker Bell is back at her birth home for a month of enjoyment with her Aunty Zeta and distant relative Swanky. She started her second season and needs to be away from Digger for obvious reasons, DAH!
She is just delightful.
I haven't seen her since her 1st season when I looked after her so it is wonderful to see her now that she is an almost grown up adult (with a puppy brain, LOL).
She was the smallest in the litter of 12 whelped and I am yet to measure her height which is my only consideration question mark for breeding from her.
She is such a neat package with all the right bits doing all the right things . . .
. . . she moves like a dream and has a delightful temperment, like her mother and her Aunty Zeta.

Diesel and Candy arrived last Friday for a short flying visit for two nights.
It was fun and games with 4 adult Weimaraners; Zeta, Tinker Bell, Diesel, Candy and 1 Weimaraner puppy; Swanky.
They all got on like a house on fire.
No dramas, everyone played together and slept together.
Feeding was interesting but I decided to feed one at a time away from the others to avoid any mishaps.
Diesel and Candy have just gone home so just the three girls left.

What a night!
I drove to Tullamarine Airport with my best friend Karen and her 9 year young twins on Wednesday evening.
All was going great guns until I missed the turn off for the airport as a result of changes to that particular intersection. And over the West Gate Bridge we all go. Poor 'Lee' the male voice on my Garmin., He seemed to be stuck on "recalculating".
We should have arrived at least 1/2 hour before Tony and Swanky landed . . . but that was not the case. Tony called to let me know he was standing at our pre-discussed place and I told him we were some what mis-placed.
We ended up going to Tullamarine Airport the scenic route by circling the outskirts of Melbourne City and arriving about 1/2 hour later.
Next nightmare was locating the Virgin Blue Frieght depot.
After doing one full circle through where I had already been to pick up Tony, we ended up going in the right direction but not before having to do an about face to park the car. I left Karen and the twins in the car while Tony and I went looking to the depot . . . we walked over to the left and asked where the depot was, to be told it was way up the other end. Of we go all the way to the right to be told it was all the way to the left.
I am just about having a seizure . . . ranting and cussing
with every step, wondering how my poor little Swanky was.
The plane landed about an hour ago.
At last we were there, just needed to find someone to tell us where she was. I fully expected unbareable crying to be heard from Swanky. Not at all, she was fast a sleep in her crate when the man went over to get her. She bounced out of the crate and licked me. Of course I gave her a big cuddle then we started to walk back to the car.
Swanky was so good on the way home. She only cried for a short while then went to sleep.
She slept the whole night but woke me up early for a toilet call.
What a good baby she is.

Swanky is 8 weeks young today
This past 8 weeks seem to have taken sooooooooooo long to get here and this coming Wednesday evening I will meet Tony and Swanky at the airport when they arrive on the 2030 flight from Queensland.
Swanky is a very special puppy for me and I can not thank Tony and Judy Glover of Feldjaeger Weimaraner enough for allowing me to be owned by Feldjaeger With Precision a.ka. Swanky.
Swanky will share my home with 3 cats; Smokey, Fonzi & Mimi, 1 Weiamaraner; Zeta and 2 humans; my mum Barbara and me of course.

At the start of 2009 I decided to re-vamp my web site. You know; a little Spring clean and the timing couldn't have been better with the start of Spring a few dayas ago in the land of down under Australia. Many of the original content is already here; just click on the tabs up there, yeah those ones. The puppy order form has a few issues but if all else fails you can whiz an e-mail to me until the form is sorted out.
Still a fair way off being totally re-vamped but there is quite a bit already done; just a little tweeking
here and there and the job is done.

WOW! This updates stuff, editing and making changes to Britfeld Weimaraners web site is a lot of work
I have completed 49 pages and only have about 100 and something pages to go.
Once that's all done, add new pages of content I have been saving up for the 'new look' site. Oh yeah, FarCity Internet Solutions is working on a new 'Splash Page' that I am looking forward to.

Last Friday 11th September 2009, the Britfeld "A" Gang turned 1 year young and today a few of them came for a visit. Val and George brought Dylan along, Charles and Dianne brought Buffer (formaly Buzz) along & Chris and Lee brought Tinker Bell along. We all went to Hampton Park to let the pupies have a good ol' romp and stomp. Aunty Zeta came along as did Diesel (Britfeld Young Spirit) who is the "A" Gang's paternal half brother.
It was pretty obvious, very quickly, the "A" Gang did not forget the shell pool they had so much fun in as little puppies; they found the creek and of course each and every puddle and they romped n stomped 'til they just about dropped.
